The FCF office elves are going on vacation! The office will be closed from December 21 to January 2. If you are considering making a gift to Fundy Community Foundation, donations are accepted through our website at fundycommunityfoundation.ca, or by mail to PO Box 3902, St. Andrews NB, E5B 3S7. We also have a secure mailbox outside our office door (45 Elizabeth Street in St. Andrews) where physical donations can be left. Please be sure to include your name and address with your donation. To receive a 2024 charitable tax receipt, please make your donation by no later than December 31.

Community Foundations of Canada (CFC) is the national leadership organization for Canada’s 200+ community foundations. Together with community foundations across the country, CFC helps drive local solutions for national change on the issues that matter most to Canadians. FCF is one of those foundations! By staying connected with this national group, we are also connected to other community foundations – sharing ideas and best practices to the betterment of us all.

The St. Croix Vocational Centre provides career gu

The St. Croix Vocational Centre provides career guidance, literacy and life skills training to 32 adults in our area who live with a variety of barriers. While the Centre is fortunate to own the building out of which they operate, the upkeep and maintenance are a constant challenge. FCF was able to help recently with a Community Grant to help them create spaces like a “Calming Room”. This important space assists clients who might feel overwhelmed or anxious during the day. Thank you Vocational Centre for all you do!

We look forward to the regular phone calls we get

We look forward to the regular phone calls we get from FCF Ambassador Peggy Saunders. At 92 she shows no signs of slowing down and stops in regularly to say hello and make a donation to one of the funds she and her late husband, Dick, set up with FCF. The Richard and Margaret Saunders Family Fund was established in 2000 and has supported so many good causes over the years. Their rationale for setting up this Community Fund was simple and kind: “… this part of New Brunswick has been very good to us. We came here in 1960 and decided that it would be a fine place to raise our family. It seemed appropriate to establish a family fund with the Fundy Community Foundation in order to put something back into the community.” Peggy set up a second fund after Dick passed away – this one to support Sunbury Shores, an organization very dear to them both and in particular to Dick.

Duncan and Florence McGeachy were well known in St

Duncan and Florence McGeachy were well known in St. Stephen for their love of New Brunswick and in particular, Charlotte County. Prior to their passing, Duncan and Florence made arrangements to set up several funds with FCF – ensuring their passion for southwestern New Brunswick lives on.
Support from this generosity has benefited our communities with scholarships as well as donations to groups such as local volunteer centers and food banks. The McGeachy children remain active in the granting process with their time and thoughtful consideration when distributing funds from the Duncan and Florence McGeachy Family Fund. Their involvement is a testament to the values and commitment shared by this family.
